Overview:

The Funeral Rites Course is designed to educate participants about the esteemed position of human beings as the best of Allah’s creation and the sacred rights Islam assigns even after death. Recognising the dignity of every human, Islam mandates certain rites such as washing, shrouding and burying the deceased, which are considered a Fard Kifayah on the community. This course provides essential knowledge and training to ensure these rites are performed correctly and respectfully, upholding Islamic principles and traditions. The course covers fundamental topics such as important terminologies related to funeral rites, the proper method of bathing the deceased and the correct procedures for shrouding and burial. It also addresses the etiquette and rulings regarding visiting graves, the concept of Isal-e-Sawab and the Islamic laws of Iddah and mourning. These topics provide a comprehensive understanding of how to fulfil these duties with both knowledge and compassion.
